  • Visit the "Parque Condor" (birds reserve) close to Otavalo.
  • Day trips to the colonial centre of Ibarra and the Valle del Chota, the ethnic center of the afro-ecuadorian culture.
  • Mountain Biking
  • Yoga and meditation enthusiasts will certainly find a peaceful spot in the large garden for practice!

    • Transportation to/from Quito in collect taxi for US-$ 12.00 per person (one way).
    • For dining out you will find very good restaurants, at reasonable prices, in the centre of Cotacachi
    • There is Internet access available at different places in the center of Cotacachi

Here you might relax in the lovely garden, chill out in a hammock while watching out for tiny hummingbirds, listening to the singing of a variety of native birds and enjoying the magnificent views of the legendary Imbabura and Cotacachi volcanoes.

    Location: About 750 meters from the centre of Cotacachi, in the small and safe indigenous community of “Pilchibuela”. Walking the short distance might give you a good opportunity to catch a glimpse of typical everyday life in the Sierra!
